I wish Tosh looked a little more like Tosh. My Gwen action figure totally looks like Gwen and Rose like Rose, but Tosh, not so much. Still I am very pleased to have her. Now she can go on adventures with Nine and Rose. *grins* I finally found an Eleven that I like. With Stetson. I can't tolerate Eleven in Ten's clothes or in the fez and the regular Eleven either came with the one in Ten's clothes or the police woman Amy or the TARDIS and I didn't want to get those since I already have a TARDIS and totally don't need her strippergram *ahem* I mean kissogram outfit. I wanted Amy in regular clothes. It's definitely cute, but it doesn't hold a candle to Karen Gillan's beauty. I am still annoyed that they have no Rory doll. They do have a Roman Auton, why could't it have been Rory? I still need Ianto. They never made Owen. *grumble grumble*

Alex Kingston is a beautiful woman, but you would never know it from the new River Song action figure.   That is so not even close to her hair color.  At least previous dolls have looked like their actors.  The packaging makes me feel like I have a vaguely dirty mind though as it states that it comes with moveable clamps and restraints and the chair fits the standard Eleventh Doctor figure.  Gee, River, just what are you planning there?  I still want a Rory doll.  (And a Tosh doll).

According to the blurb that went with it this was the prototype for the season one Rose action figure, but Billie Piper didn't approve it so instead we got the other one with the fighting stance you can't take her out of.  I like this one so much better, although the face is a little less accurrate.  Bet you could get her to dance with the Nine doll properly.  There's only three in existence.  I want!

Yeah, well, I didn't write for most of this week.  It was semester assessment time for the state, something required by the virtual school we homeschool with, and it takes a lot of time.  But I dotted all my i's and crossed all my t's and jumped through all the hoops like a trained...something that jumps through hoops...dolphin?  Anyway, so I didn't write this week.  I vegged and watched Fringe and Human Target and Leverage and Burn Notice instead.

But I wrote today and finished chapter two of Proof Positive and it turned into a three chapter fic (I know, I know, but it isn't my fault!).  So anyway I've sent it off the Amy to be beta'd and to Victoria as well, but she and Peter are out on a date tonight, so I won't get it back from her until tomorrow, so I'll post it then sometime.  I'm too tired to hunt up a second beta otherwise and am going to bed early.

That means I won't finish the new chapter of Hunger Moon until later.  It's half written and is next on the agenda after Proof Positive is finished.

But for the most part we are all moved in to town.  Oh, there's still a bunch of crap back at the house but nothing I can't live without except the piano and that will come in either February or March.  We are in no rush.  The house needs to be fixed up and new carpets put in and painted and all the interior doors replaced before we even make an attempt to sell it anyway.  I'll go out once or twice a week and pack up a few boxes and make sure no one's breaking in to the place and that the security system is still working, but all the heavy duty grunt work is done.

We have no intention of even trying to put it on the market until May or June anyway and we're good for money so really no worries.  Which is good because I still can't squat or kneel down and probably won't be healed enough to do so for six to eight more weeks.  But I can empty shelves and closets and stuff.  A lot of things are going to be going to charity.  Downsizing, thy name is Lisa.

I love being in the city again, even if it's not a big city.  I love being 3 minutes from the grocery store instead of 45 minutes to an hour.  It's walking distance.  True, I can't walk six blocks yet, but when I can, it's six blocks!  Half a mile for those of you in the U.K. who don't have blocks.  I am looking forward to it when I have sufficiently recovered.  11 and a half years of living in the mountains, in the country, I never thought I'd hate it so much.

Oh, we nearly had a tragedy occur.  Season one Rose action figure went missing for two days!  Nine was inconsolable.  He was leaning with his head against the TARDIS doors and having a total depressive funk.  I think I saw tears in his eyes.  Finally Brown Suit Ten, in an unsual act of unselfish valor, agreed to share season two Rose with him and let him play with K-9.  It perked him up a little until I finally found season one Rose again.  Season two Rose was not amused by his sudden desertion of her.  Ten was not amused by Season two Rose's sudden irritibility at being tossed over for her younger self and is now pouting.  Season one Rose and Nine are currently in a prone position because (Honest) I bumped the dresser on the way out and they fell over.  At least that's what they claimed when I came back in the room.  Mickey and Martha and Blue Suit Ten with Sexy Specs and Donna are all uncomfortably silent over the whole issue.  The Great Coat with Torchwood Jack accessory and Gwen are cheering them on, though.  (Yes, if I knew what box my camera was packed in, this would totally be a picspam).

At least I found Rose again, though.  That one cost more than all the others put together as she's very hard to find anymore.  It's good, too, because silly as they are, sometimes the action figures act as muse inspiration so I like to have them all on display.  I will hopefully have time to start writing again now.  I need to finish up Body Language, then finish Lilli's very belated b'day fic and work on Stars some more.  Possibly HM if it'll stop being so stubborn again.  I hate not having time to write.  It helps me with stress reduction and I totally need it right  now.

I pretty much love the fact that the instructions for the Talking TARDIS Money Bank basically say that if after installing the batteries in your bank it doesn't work it might be because you have reversed the polarity on the batteries.  I have Classic Who giggle fits every time they pop up.

Also, my toys came today, so I now have a total of ten action figures.  The new arrivals are Mickey with his big gun from Doomsday, Martha in the red leather jacket, blue-suited, red-Conversed, sexy specced Ten (Donna was so happy to see him), the season 1 DW Great Coat with incidental Jack Harkness included, and the Torchwood Gwen Cooper doll who is wearing high heeled boots and thus ends up spending a lot of her time on her back, which doesn't actually seem wrong given the character's relationships with Jack, Rhys, and Owen.  She does have a pedastal to stand on and holes in the bottoms of her boots, but I find it much more fun to walk into the room and find she's on her back again at Jack's feet.  They got the body right and the hair is close but the face isn't very accurate.

Best part?  There were pictures on the back of Gwen's packaging of Wave 2 of Torchwood's action figures and they will have Ianto and Tosh and they look pretty close to the actor's faces.  No Owen, though.  But Spike, I mean Captain John Hart, will be released then, too.

Anywho, I've got them all arranged now on the top of my dresser.  Mickey and Martha are holding off a little green dragon, while Season 1 Rose and Nine are fighting a giant pink one.  Donna and blue suit Ten are talking to K-9 to see what they can do to help while Cassandra's robot spiders from Platform One are being held at bay by the Great Coat with incidental Jack and his revolver and Gwen, on her back but with her trusty, shiny black gun aimed at one of the spiders.  Brown suit Ten in the trench coat and Season 2 Rose are oblivously dancing away in the middle of it all, totally caught up in each other.   If I have time this week I may very well do a picspam.

I just ordered my birthday prezzies from Who North America (yes, I do that, DH doesn't have the time or inclination) and I am such a little girl.

But I found  5 inch action figure Jack Harkness in his great coat!  His great coat!  I have serious love for the great coat.  I have not been able to find the great coat (with incidental Jack figure tucked inside) anywhere up until now.  It was more elusive than season one Rose.  But now it'll be in my hot little hands very soon.  Along with that I ordered a blue suit Ten in sexy specs for my Donna doll because she was lonely (not like that, they're just friends!), Mickey with the big gun and Martha because I so ship them together (don't ask) and the new Gwen Cooper to keep Jack company.

Now if they'll put out a season 4 Rose doll I'll be over the moon.  I saw a mock-up on someone's LJ not too long ago but I never heard if it was real or a photo-shopped version.  It certainly looked real.

Now the question is whether or not they will arrive before the 12th.  Not that they have to come on my actual birthday but it'd be nice seeing as Chris will still be in Alaska then.

What's left on my wish list?  The Master, Sarah Jane and the TARDIS playset.  Maybe for Christmas.

Meanwhile Tobias wants a Rose, K-9, and Ten for his birthday and a sonic screwdriver.  I've corrupted both my kids now. *grins gleefully*  We're a 3 generation Who loving family now.  Hee.

I bumped my bookcase on the way out of my room as I left for town today and when I came home I noticed that Nine and Rose had fallen down into a rather compromising position.  I had them balanced rather precariously as they were dancing and in order to make them dance they have to lean kinda funny and be all up on their toes, especially with the way season one Rose's knees are permanently bent.  Well, looks like they're still dancing...
