A/N:This is a post-Doomsday Rose/Ten reunion fic, mostly written pre-season four of Doctor Who, pre-season two of Torchwood, and pre-season two of The Sarah Jane Adventures, so I basically will continue to ignore any canon that exists after that for the sake of finally finishing this fic, 'kay?                                                               Chapter Thirty-four: Unexpected

Jamie Tyler’s ego was either far stronger and more elusive than the Doctor had realized or else it simply no longer existed. Despite the entire family going into a deep meditation and sorting through Jamie’s mind, scanning each segment in turn as if turning pages in a book, there was no sign of her core personality. It was after several hours and with considerable reluctance that he had to admit defeat and withdraw his family from their full cohesive state.

Chapter Thirty-three:  Recovery Time

Luke Smith fought for consciousness, his mind swimming through a swirling morass of confusion. It took him several minutes to come to full coherence in his own mind, several minutes longer to convince his brain to tell his eyes to open. Finally he regained control of his motor skills and his eyes blinked open, focusing on the pretty face of Mairi Tyler. Mairi? Jamie!

Chapter Thirty-two:  Stranger in the Mirror

The girl who had been told her name was Jamie Tyler stood in front of a full-length mirror staring at her body. Her clothes were wet, a thin blue gelatin clinging to her skin, her hair, straight and pale blonde, hung halfway down her back. Her eyes were blue and her cheekbones were high. She was short, barely five feet tall, and thin. She didn’t have much in the way of curves, though the promise of them was there. She did not recognize herself, but then she did not recognize anyone else, either. All strangers together, she supposed. She just wished she didn’t feel like a stranger in her own head.

Safely in a survival suit, Mairi Tyler ushered Professor Martin to the escape pods making sure the elderly teacher was secured. “What about you?” he called to her as she exited the little ship.

“What do you mean Mum and Dad are trapped out on the surface of the moon?” Jamie said flying up off the bed and across the room. She grabbed Mairi’s arms and gripped them hard.

“I thought I was being fairly straight-forward about it,” Mairi said dryly.

“But…but the Ganyites! We have to help,” she insisted.

Chapter Twenty-eight:  Caught

Landon Tyler strode into his mother’s laboratory glancing around with a frown when all he saw was his sister’s head with its long, straight brown hair bent over a microscope instead of his mother’s new, jet black curls.

“Mairi, where’s Mum?” he all but barked at his sister.

“And hello to you, too, brother dear,” she said mildly turning around on her lab stool to look at him.
