A/N:This is a post-Doomsday Rose/Ten reunion fic, mostly written pre-season four of Doctor Who, pre-season two of Torchwood, and pre-season two of The Sarah Jane Adventures, so I basically will continue to ignore any canon that exists after that for the sake of finally finishing this fic, 'kay? Thanks. And we will all just pretend the last update to this story was not in December of 2008, y/y?

The man currently going by the alias Jack Harkness, Captain Jack Harkness thank you very much, watched through his monocular infrared imager as the tall, stately, rather well put together alien led a decidedly human looking little girl through the markets of Danzibar. The red-headed woman, Ginli sar Melista, was a person of considerable means in the city of Monpuor. She was also unmarried, unattached, and at the top of his suspect list as a primary scout for the sar Delat Syndicate.

A/N:  Rose and the Tenth Doctor search desperately for their daughter, Donna and Josz return to the TARDIS and take Dare to join the search, and the Ninth Doctor having just left Rose with Mickey and having not yet gone back to tell her "It also travels in time," arrives on the planet Danzibar.

                                                              Chapter Two: Unexpected Encounter

He had really thought she’d come with him. The girl had been so promising, such a fighter, had had so much spirit. He wasn’t used to people turning him down, could count on one hand how many people had turned down travelling with him across time and space. She’d saved his life, too and that was dead useful in a companion. But no, she’d turned him down. Turned him down for that cowering lump of useless humanity, decided to waste the rest of her life working in a shop and looking after that waste of space.

Philia emerged from the Time Vortex in precisely the same place she had just vacated. Cassi checked the controls to be sure that at least six months had passed. She searched the surrounding area for signs of her parents’ TARDIS and sighed in relief when she located it.

                                                              Chapter Thirty-four: Unexpected

Jamie Tyler’s ego was either far stronger and more elusive than the Doctor had realized or else it simply no longer existed. Despite the entire family going into a deep meditation and sorting through Jamie’s mind, scanning each segment in turn as if turning pages in a book, there was no sign of her core personality. It was after several hours and with considerable reluctance that he had to admit defeat and withdraw his family from their full cohesive state.
