amberfocus: (Christopher Chance--Saving the World)

Sometimes you just want to watch boys blowing things up.  That's the appeal for me on what in season one was a strictly masculine show.  Well, that and Mark Valley, who let's face it, in no universe would ever be mistaken for someone who is unattractive.  That chiseled jaw, those dimples, the blond hair, the light blue eyes, and a body that's muscular, but not scary muscular.  He fills out jeans in a way that jeans should always, always, always be filled out.  He's a man's man, and for a woman he definitely goes straight to the GUH UNF part of the brain.  And not only is he pretty to look at, he's one heck of an awesome actor.

Indira Varma, who played Suzie Costello on Torchwood and was the English detective on the episodes of Bones where they went to England, is going to be on the season 2 premiere of Human Target.  Suzie was one of the best things about Torchwood, despite being psychotic.  I am so psyched for this.  I hope she's sticking around and going to be a love interest for Christopher.  With my luck it'll be the pretty young thing instead of the pretty 30 something, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

*pretty promo shots are pretty*

[livejournal.com profile] mitashade  made me a gorgeous new layout as a birthday present.  Isn't it loverly?  Though she's still fiddling with the side bar a bit, so if it goes all wonky, that's why.  Aside from Ten, Rose, and Nine from Doctor Who whom you all know, the characters in the header are Peter Bishop and Olivia Dunham from Fringe and Christopher Chance from Human Target, two of my new obsessions.  I doubt I'll ever write for Human Target as it doesn't have a female lead or romantic entanglements, but I've thought about tiptoeing into the Fringe fandom, because there is oodles of UST between the two main characters and that is always fun to play with.  Not sure yet.  I don't feel I have a good enough grasp on the characters yet to do them justice.  I'll try reading in the fandom for a while first, see how other people write them.  I still have way too many Doctor Who balls in the air at the moment, and it will forever remain my first love, never fear.  Oh, I'll be posting fic in a little bit, too.  The first chapter of Mita's Nine/Rose fic.  Speaking of UST...
