Fic Update

I've finished chapter 3 of Doubt and shipped it off to Amy for beta.  She's in Vegas, though so it might be a while.  She says she can still beta but she might be having too much fun.  Hope you're having fun, Amy!  Anyway, Rose's anger builds up and she gives the Doctor a piece of her mind.  She really lets him have it.  And no, guys, I'm not having her get an abortion.  I said that yesterday to anyone who was listening. *sighs*  And the truth will finally come out in this chapter.  It's even a good 1300 words or so longer than the last one.

Comprehension dawns on her and then something else that she doesn’t recognize at first because it is pure fury and she’s never felt it before in her life. She’s seen it though, coming from him. They call him the Oncoming Storm when he’s like that. This is different. The wolf rises within her. She locks her gaze on his. “No,” she bites out. “I told you a long time ago. Mickey and I are over. How could you think that?”

 

“I heard you, on the phone, what you said to him. He was urging you to tell me something. You said it wouldn’t change anything between you and him when you told me so why was he so anxious for you to tell me?”

 

“You were eavesdropping?” she grinds out.

 

“Yes.” He doesn’t even bother trying to deny it.

 

 

“And from what I said, you got that I had an affair with Mickey? That I betrayed you?” Her rage is barely veiled now. It pulses through her bloodstream like liquid fire.

These kids need to work a few things out before they start with the boinking again. Really, really need to work things out. If he could think she's having an affair and she could think he'd be so repulsed by the idea of them having a child that he'd order her to get an abortion--I'm honestly not sure which of them should be more offended at this point. But they need to spend some time getting to know each other again before they re-start their physical relationship. Fr srs.

Oh, yeah. I don't think it's going to happen any time soon that they get physical like that. I think maybe there does need to be a serious conversation from the Doctor's point of view of how she could think he's order her to get an abortion, later.

First: GO ROSE

I can't wait for her to take the Doctor down a peg and FINALLY clear the air. I know he won't do it. He's too much into wanting a pity party.

But I do have questions and am just curous. Is the reason Rose took this long to finally get mad because of the hormones? I do know if you're hormones are off and you are just the littles bit depressed, it can be blown out of all proportion.

Also as a side question, is the Doctor finding out that she's pregnant still ahead of schedule and are you trying to figure out how that changes what comes after? Mainly how it works with GiF if Ten DOES know as apposed to if he didn't know.

And are you POSITIVE you need to have the story beta'd first? Really, I'd be glad to over look any spelling errors. ;-)

No, it isn't hormones. She simply went numb. Sort of a form of shock really that he'd ever say what she thinks he's said.

I've figured out what I'm going to do with GitF. His finding out now does affect the outcome of that story. It will be played differently than I originally intended, but by the time we get to the end of Rise of the Cybermen it'll be back on track with the original through line.

I feel so much better for that teaser. At least you're not dragging it out longer. I had a mental image of Jackie dragging the Doctor to go with Rose to the abortion clinic and the Doctor being so mad and cold that they'd see an actual doctor before he'd go "Wait. What? What are we doing here?!"
