A Sky Without Zeppelins: Outtake One

A/N:  Hermya wanted the scene where Jonathon actually goes shopping for condoms at Costco, and I couldn't resist adding Donna into it, so I give you this:


"24? You really think that's going to be enough?" says Donna.

"We aren't even...we haven't even...we're not--," Jonathon stutters.

"Planning on finishing that sentence anytime soon, sunshine? The way you look at her, you really need to get the bigger box. Hey, you," she calls to an employee. "Got anything larger than the 24 pack?" She's waving the condom box in the air now and Jonathon just wants to sink into the floor, or become invisible, or get sucked into another universe. Anywhere where Donna isn't standing beside him, embarrassing the hell out of him.

She puts down the box and waits for the employee to answer her question. "Yes, we do," squeaks the teenager. "But only for the larger-sized male."

"That'll do quite nicely," Jonathon says hurriedly.

"Really?" says Donna. "For the larger-sized male? But you're so skinny!"

"Nothing to do with it," he says and then to shut her up adds, "Look at the size of my hands."

"What's that got to do with any--oh."

"They're also quite good at covering big mouths."

Donna is so wonderful and you write her so well! I have to admit, I've reconciled myself to the 10/10.5ishness of Season 4. However, I still cannot get over the way things went down with Donna...It makes my skin crawl to watch that damned scene. There is something so wrong feeling about it to me.
