Some Thoughts on This Week's TV
Oct. 21st, 2011 08:40 amI am starting to get annoyed with The Vampire Diaries. Rebecca? One of the originals going to high school? Seriously? College, maybe, but why the heck would someone over 1000 years old want to go to high school? AND be a cheerleader. She looks about 25. Does no one check records at Mystic Falls High School? Stefan is seriously making me not like him right now. I just...I don't want to deal with a good guy going bad and enjoying it so thoroughly. Had that in real life once and that was enough, 'kay, thanks. And they are messing with Bonnie and Jeremy. With Anna now physically able to touch things I don't see that relationship lasting much longer. As for Tyler being sired or whatever, don't much care for that either. If they screw with my girl Caroline and her relationship I am flouncing.
The Secret Circle on the other hand is really getting good. Although the mucking with fate versus free choice is going to annoy me. Why do you break up with your boyfriend, who you are in love with and who tells you he loves you, just because it is destiny or whatever that he is meant to be with some other girl? Is there no free choice in life for witches? Seems stupid to me. Just because something has been written in the stars doesn't mean it can't be edited. *sighs* Otherwise, loving this show.
Terra Nova continues to impress me. Soldier boy and Maddie are just the absolute cutest thing ever. And Jim and Elizabeth are like the best parents in the world.
I kind of wish the audience for Dancing with the Stars would be voting for the best or most entertaining dancers. I guess I am bitter about Carson going when really, it should have been Chaz. Carson was fun and entertaining. Chaz just lumbers about like a bull in a China shop (though there has been improvement it shouldn't have been enough to keep him there over Carson). Or Chynna to be honest.
I miss Jillian Michaels on The Biggest Loser. Dolvett I like, but Anna can just go away now, thanks. Bonnie is totally going to explode on her soon and I will totally be cheering for her against little miss perky favoritism. Anna needs to go back to Tennis or modeling and leave personal training and spiritual nurturing to those who know how to do it. I also hate the way the teams were broken down this year. It was extremely ageist and felt basically like a way to weed the older, weaker players out from the beginning instead of giving everyone a fair start by mixing age groups.
I can't wait for Fringe tonight now that Peter is back.
