I'm taking a few days off from writing.  My summer cold has turned into, or possibly been followed by, a nasty virus.  There may be some crossover, actually as I still have the cough.  Both Rose and I are down with it.  Tobias, of course, as usual remains germ free.  At least it's nice out and he can go play outside in the yard with his friends and I can rest.

Pain has settled in my rotator cuffs in the shoulders, the wrist, elbow, and knee joints, and my hips are killing me with a special kind of on fire hell.  Food is disgusting.  My stomach feels like a boulder has moved in and taken up residence.  Nothing stays down for more than a half an hour.  And we won't go into the rest of it.  Just suffice it to say that all that I really feel like doing is laying in a dark room and watching Stargate Atlantis.  Is it wrong of me to ship Rodney/Jennifer?  Oh, well, I do.

If anyone wants to write me fluff I wouldn't say no.  Or crack.  Nine, Ten, or Ten2, preferrably with Rose, but Donna is okay, too if it doesn't go romantic.  Failing that, tell me what is your favorite fluff story and what is your favorite crack story and linkies, please.  No smut fics, unless it's incidental, as I'm totally not in the mood for it.  Yeah, I know.  I said I was sick.

This sickness gets it's own shiny new tag, even.

It was sometime later that Rose, very quietly, admitted the Doctor had been right. They were both flat on their backs on the now deflated airbed being battered by three hyperactive children and their pillows. Too tired to fight back, the Doctor helped up a hand. “Truce?” he asked.
Aida and Tomas turned to look at Tony, who shook his head. “It’s a trick. They’ll get us when they stop.”
“Alright Tony,” Rose said, resting her head against the Doctor’s shoulder tiredly, “you win. We surrender our weapons and we’ll take you to McDonald’s tomorrow if you put the pillows down.”
The Doctor hid a smirk as the children conferred before throwing their pillows down and collapsing atop of their parents. Tony jumped backwards rather impressively and landed on the sofa in a heap. He beamed over at his sister and her husband. “That was fun!”
“Oof,” was the Doctor’s detailed response as Tomas accidentally elbowed him in the stomach.
“I think,” he said a moment later, turning his head towards Rose, “that we should never, ever have a pillow fight again. In fact, I think that we should take all of the pillows out of the house. Just in case.”
She laughed and grabbed the nearest pillow, hitting him square in the face with it, “Shut up.”
