Homeschooling is hellish, for everyone involved. Firm fact. The key is to get a good network (either online or in your town) that can help with stuff. Apparently when my parents started out they lived in a place with a great organization that was really supportive, but later on we moved to my hometown, and there was noooothing. They still say that the organization made a huge difference in how easy it was to deal with me vs my sister...
I didn't know you were home schooled too. I don't think my mom would've described it as hellish exactly where I was concerned, because I think it was a good way to go for me. My brothers however were a different story. >_<
Actually the schooling stuff itself is pretty good. It's the getting the kids to cooperate on really hot days when all they want to do is run outside and play in the sprinkler or set up the pool and go swimming. It's been in the high 80's to early 90's for most of this week so the stress of enforcing lessons was just really getting to me.
