Fic Question

Chapter Eight of That Which One Cannot Do Without is looking like it is coming up on 4500 to possibly 5000 words.  I may need to make a chapter nine.  It'll end with nine if I do, but if I post them as two separate chapters I'd have to break right before the smut because that is the natural stopping place.  I'd post 8 today and 9 tomorrow, so it woudn't be a long wait.  Is a 5000 word chapter too long?  Most in this story are 2000-2500 words long.  If I keep it one chapter I won't post until tomorrow.  Thoughts?

I'm not sure you could possibly write a chapter that I felt was too long. On the other hand, if splitting it up give us something to read sooner I'm ok with that too.
