I don't know. I didn't hate it, but I wasn't jumping up and down from it, either. Mostly I was just underwhelmed. I thought there was no coherency to the storyline and that basically it was a way to stick a ton of villains on the screen at once, a parade of all the bad guys SM likes best or has created. But they were used poorly. There was no reason for the Weeping Angels to show up.
At least the return of the Silence sort of made sense, except why didn't Clara try to kill them on sight? I mean, Eleven supposedly reprogrammed all of humanity to kill the Silence on sight, but she didn't. She just kept forgetting they were there.
I did like Handles, though it struck me a bit as Tom Hanks and his volleyball Wilson in Castaway. Also it was weird because Cybermen heads can still attack. One did in the episodes about the Pandorica.
I liked old, old Eleven. He looked reminiscent of One.
Does Peter Capaldi remind anyone else of Four? There's a sort of craziness about the eyes.
I liked that he didn't like the new kidneys because they were the wrong color.
I liked seeing Amelia again. I loved seeing Amy again.
The regeneration, or at least the final step in it, happened so fast. There was no morphing from one to the next. I like the morphing.
I liked that Twelve couldn't remember how to fly the TARDIS.
I hope the writing gets better for Capaldi. Matt did what he could with the mess he was given. I'd like to see less mess in the future.
I'm glad the Time Lords did not come back. It's not time for them yet.
Does anyone know of LJ comms for the new Doctor? Or if anyone is making icons yet?
