Children of Time Awards Round 2

I was just over looking at the CoT nominees list and there's been nothing nominated in the Nine/Rose category.  Nothing.  That's just...really sad.  So I think some of us Nine/Rose shippers should get on the ball and nominate our favorite Nine/Rose fics.  There's a big long list of rules but the most salient ones are that the fic has to have been finished within the last year or for a work in progress, it needs to be currently being updated.  Nominations also have to be seconded so if you really want to nominate a fic find someone who agrees with you and go do it.

I'm off to go look at all my favorite Nine fics and see what qualifies.  Nine/Rose needs some loving.

She said they are behind with the amount of nominations and are trying to notify and update as fast as they can.

Yeah. Wendymr just told me that she nominated 20 things over the last couple of days and they haven't shown up yet so she thinks they are definitely behind on putting stuff up. And someone else said the person running it broke her keyboard or something. I just wanted to make sure Nine/Rose got represented since people had asked specifically for that category. Wouldn't want it to go away because there wasn't anything in the running.

And I think all the 9/Rose ones I would nominate have enough fans that know about the awards.

No. But Better with You is a series, not a story and they aren't doing series this time around, I don't think. Wolf Moon didn't get finished until late March or early April of 2008, though so it still qualifies for a couple more months. Hunger Moon, since I'm not currently updating it, would not qualify for WiP until I start updating it again which won't likely be until March or so.

Not even one chapter so we can get you an award?? pretty please :) maybe a bit of a drabble chapter I put you in for it and I would really hate for you be disqualified because of no update *sniff* *tries to hide ulterior motive to get more of the story*

No, other way around. Wolf Moon qualifies because it is finished and still has a few months before it's too old. Hunger Moon, unless I start posting updates, won't qualify.

Nine/Rose isn't the only thing being forgotten there. The artwork section is disgusting. I nonimated most of the art there (only two other things where nonimated). It's crap because there are so many good artist out there. And I'm not upset because I'm not nomated I'm upset because it seems like no one cares about the art with these awards. In round on only two artists where involved. I mean come on there are so many great artists in all the ships and shows. Why isn't that being shown? This isn't just a fic awards.

Only part of what I nominated is up there. I noninated A Small Piece of Coral and it's author but only the author is up not the story. It seems very unlikely that the arthor would appect fave new author but turn down fave story.

On the other hand my artwork noms are up as well as my SJA. I haven't finished my noms and Nine/Rose will be getting some noms. In face I already did (Kitten's Release - it's so hot for PWP)

I don't think the artist's community is as aware of the awards as the writers are. Someone said most of the nom's aren't up yet because the person entering them in broke their keyboard and have to get a new one. So maybe we'll see more up soon.

I don't think it's just that. There are many fanfic readers/writers who I know are into DW art but don't bother with that part of awards. Artists should know about the awards just like everyone else. It's posted enough places. That's how I found out not through the fic side.

I agree. There is hardly any recent Nine stuff around now. There aren't that many regular Nine writers out there now it seems.

I've almost finished a Nine fic actually at the moment, its just about written itself which is good because my Nine!muse came back! But I got to thinking, I wish we could get all the Nine writers together and have a mass fic!fest over a week or something.

No, there aren't. I think after a year or so of Ten most of the Nine writers stopped writing Nine, really. It's such a shame because the dynamic between Rose and Nine leaves so much more material to play with.

Well, I nominated "Hiding in plain sight" (Alt!Nine/Rose & Donna) for the Nine/Rose category and "A man who wasn't there" for Alternate Universe.
Let's hope the Nine love is still alive!
