lit_wolf who wanted Beckett/Castle and coffee.
Coffee
She brings him coffee and he can’t help smiling into his cup. He’s brought it to her a hundred times before, but none of those times meant anything. Not like this cup. This cup was brewed in her apartment, the morning after.
“You make the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. In fact, I’ve never met someone with so much talent for… making coffee.”
She meets his eyes firmly, challengingly.
“I like your coffee, too.”

Richard Castle likes to think of himself as independent. If anyone dared to say otherwise he’d be the first to deny it. But lately he thinks he’d give it all up, everything that being a bachelor, a filthy rich one at that, and a famous novelist to boot, allows him to be. He’d ditch it in a heartbeat if Kate would just look at him like he was more than a nuisance or annoyance or at best, a friend. He doesn’t want to be Kate’s friend.
“Castle?”
“Beckett?” He snaps back to attention.
“You look lost.”
If she only knew.
