30 Day Love Meme days 4 through 6

amberfocusI'm a bit behind on this so playing some catch up.
Day 04: The pairing with the Most Chemistry: Buffy and Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Whether the characters hated each other, loved each other, were just being friends or were wrapped in battle, the chemistry radiated for days off of these two. I have more than one problem with the Buffy/Spike storyline but I could never deny just how much the chemistry rages between them. Through the slow play from mortal enemies, to tolerance, to friends, to lovers, back to mortal enemies and eventually back to friends again, there was always something there. Whether it was good or bad, right or wrong, there was no denying it.
Day 05: The Pairing with the least chemistry: Jenna and Alaric from The Vampire Diaries
It's hard for any pairing to have chemistry, I suppose, when they are just sort of tossed together and one of them has never been fully developed and the other has really only been halfway developed and is basically there to provide weapons and the occasional piece of random knowledge before getting shoved back into a corner. They've pushed this couple into a romance but they didn't build it and it's hard to care about them because they are still pretty much strangers to the audience. I really enjoy TVD and on the whole they do a good job of developing their minor characters but with Jenna and Alaric they've dropped the ball. There is so much potential in the two actors but they are not using it. I'd say they didn't know how to develop adult characters and can only write for teens but both the sherriff and Tyler's mother are fully realized and teenage Matt has never been fully realized either.
Day 06: Best Kiss: Michael and Maria from Roswell.
My favorite all time kiss from a pairing is the kiss in the diner between Michael and Maria. I have a hard time finding an uncut version of it, I've looked for it dozens of times, but it more or less is at 38 seconds here. Since all Michael and Maria kisses are hot and pretty though, the whole vid is worth watching. *laughs* Every Micheal and Maria kiss is either raging hot or so sweetly tender it aches. I miss this pairing with a ridiculous passion.
