Britpick Question

I was just wondering the name of a street where people might hang out who are goth or punk, teenage or college age. A good place for loitering where they are tolerated and don't really get chased away too much. It's for Zeppelins. Thankies.

Also any form of corner shop seems to attract the youths.

Date: 2008-10-13 06:35 pm (UTC)If you are on about an alt! version of the Powell Estate then really they would probably congregate outside local shops; such as a Spar, or Co-op. But even then the shop managers and police would move them on pretty sharpish.
There isn't really a place where certain 'tribes' of teenagers hang out. Where I live, which is pretty representational of the UK, we just get the typical teenagers hanging around outside shops for a short while (then they get moved on). Usually the ones who are dressed in jeans, tracksuits and trainers (chavs mostly!!).
If you are talking about weekends, then older teenagers in London will go to the West End, or there is also Camden. My friend lives in London and her son goes to Southbank with his mates at times, he is 15. There is also Covent Garden.

So don't take me at my word. So I'd go with Camden.
