She holds out her hand to him in invitation.  He can no longer deny the gift she offers him.  He wants this more than he understands, yet is still so afraid that her fragile, single heartbeat will cease sooner than he can bear if he takes this step with her.  In this moment he is as mortal as she, as naked in mind as he is in body.  Her offer stands.  She’s wet, warm, willing, waiting.  For now it’s enough.  For now he’ll live out this life with her and when she is gone, the memory will still be his.

*grins* Thank you. I was trying to think why your name seemed so familiar and then I realized. You wrote Try. That's one of my favorite stories. Is there any chance of it getting finished? Or added to? *makes puppy dog eyes*
