Birthday Double Drabble for Amy

Happy Birthday to Amy067.  Of course you know why I only had time to do a drabble.  But I made it a double.  Thanks for all your lovely betaing and for being such a terrific sounding board.  *hugs*

Title:  Rescue

Summary:  Nine rescues his lover Rose from captivity.

                                                                               Rescue

Cold fingers push aside her hair and she feels his breath against her neck. Her heart races as his strong hands slide up her arms to where her wrists are bound to even colder iron. “Rose,” he whispers and sweet relief fills her. It is him. He has found her. She hears the sound of metal as he lowers his zip. His body covers hers, rough denim against her thighs as he enters her and she gasps his name as he fills her. His movements are slow, comforting, gentling. She whispers his name into the darkness and raises her hips.

Slowly he removes the blindfold from her eyes. She looks up into his face, his eyes so dark with need it scares her. She buries her face in the leather at his shoulder. He unties the bindings, freeing her from her captivity. Her hands seek his body, struggle to find flesh beneath fabric. She is rewarded by skin and she sinks into the familiarity of his possession of her. The last traces of fear fade from her consciousness as he worships her body. “I will always come for you,” he whispers. His mouth finds hers. No further words are spoken.

This is really, really hot. Until my sleep addled brain starts thinking about it too much, and then I see the Doctor finding Rose after she's been captured and immediately making love to her... and then some guard walking in, like, "UM." Because the guard wouldn't be a strong, "seize them!" kinda guy. He'd be the awkward adolescent, third day on the job, just out of alien high school and not yet knowing the touch of a woman, possibly named Eugene, and he'd just freeze, no idea what to do. Just gape like a fish. Though, for all I know, they're fish people.

<4 HOURS SLEEP = BAD.

I had the same thought! Well--not quite all that, but I wondered a couple of times if that's what had happened, that he found her all tied-up after having been kidnapped and then doing that. XD

*grins* If I'd had the time I'd have expanded it into a full one-shot, but...*shrugs* Too much else going on at the moment. Glad you liked what there was, though.

I was just rereading one of my favorite stories by you last night. The one where Rose and Ten stumble into the wrong TARDIS and have to hide from themselves from the future and then Ten has to take Rose's memory of what they saw away. Since you're here, just thought I'd mention how much I love this story still even months after first reading it.

I would like to be made love to after being held in captivity, all other things being equal, but I think I'd like to be rescued and safe in the TARDIS first.

Blindfold off, wrists free, a hug, and then back to the TARDIS.

It's very loving and nicely written, but, as other people have noted, the delay might have interfered with the escape.

Oddly, I totally got that from the story! Maybe it's just because I don't think he would have done that if it wasn't entirely safe, but it's also just a bit hot [/understatement] because she doesn't know that!

No, he wouldn't have done if it wasn't completely safe. He'd never, ever put her into further danger after an ordeal like what she's gone through. And this is the best comfort for her. *grins* I'm glad you got that from the story.
