Chapter 32 of Of the Vortex Born is up at Teaspoon.  Why yes, I have been a busy girl these last three days, haven't I?

Are you going to keep posting it up here?

Oh, yes. I'll put two chapters up tonight. Eventually I'll get caught up to Teaspoon.

1. Hah! Bet I know where she hid herself!! :-)

2. I've been doing a lot of reading of your fics on Teaspoon over the past few weeks and I'm finding it a bit frustrating at times because I keep getting into a series and then discovering a dozen chapters in that it is actually the sequel to something else or assumes that you've read a previous fic. On the site they're listed simply in alphabetical order with (apparently) no way to sort into time-of-posting order. Is there anywhere where you've recorded a list of "Here's the recommended order in which to read my fics"?

At Teaspoon if you click on my name it brings up my author's page, the first section lists the series and the second section lists the individual stories. You want to click on a series name, then it will take you to that series' page, which then lists the fics in the order they should be read for that series. So if you click on Time Eternal it will let you know that A Place in Time is First, To Call Our Own is Second, and You Reap What You Sow is Third. Ah, then there's Repercussions which takes place during all three fics starting around chapter 20 or so of APIT and is an alt!verse crossover for that series. Er...and Jack's Path series, too which references stuff in Time Eternal, but takes place both before and after the events of Time Eternal. Yeah, my two timey whimey series. Bad example.

But everything else is far less complicated. Click on Moments in Darkness or Better with You and you'll get the fics listed in order, same with Take Me, same with any of the series. If a fic is not labelled as part of a series it is a stand alone fic. The only series that isn't stories all set in the same verse is Ninunedos and Miss Communications, which is just different stories with either a lot of innuendo or a lot of miscommunication, all involving Nine and Rose. Hope that helps.

*g* Those precise examples were what provoked the question! I had already worked out about clicking on the series link but the problem was that I was reading one series (Time Eternal) and it would assume knowledge of another so I'd suspended and switched only to find that the other did too! All these children were appearing that it seemed I should know about and Jack seemed to be having relations with some. So I'd switched to a third (lost track now: Pomp?) to find that that one assumed you'd read the first one. Ok, at least I know it's not just my not understanding what's going on. :-)

I have to say it really doesn't help on Teaspoon that although the fics are listed in the series in the right order they also appear in the list below (out of order), making it harder to find fics that *aren't* part of a series and can be read in an idle half hour.

If you ever get the urge I do think it would be worth having a list recommending the best order.

I can give you the order in which everything was written, or at least the order in which everything was started, since I wrote some simultaneously, if that would help.

I'm assuming that, like most prolific authors, you've often written a fic and then later gone back and written the prequel or such? So, thanks and I appreciate the thought (really), but a simple time listing probably won't help much.

Don't worry (::straightens shoulders, smiles gamely::) I'll somehow find the strength to read them and figure it out for myself. ::sobs, looks up slyly to see if it's all working, sees it isn't and sighs::

;-P Seriously, don't fret - it's only the one or two overlapping (timey-wimey) ones that are causing difficulties and I've simply been enjoying them anyway. It's generally explained adequately in the text - it's just my anal-retentive nature that wants me to read them in the 'correct' order.

The one that I'm really enjoying most is your current wip "A Sky Without Zepplins". It's making me desperately want to be young and in love again for the first time! :-)

For some reason I didn't realize that you had more of this posted over at Teaspoon. I just devoured the rest of it in one go. LOVE this story! And it amazes me how diverse your stories are. The characters are always true, but the circumstances so different! I wish I had half your ideas! :D

Oh, yes, lots more. I've only been bringing it over here on the hopes that it would jump start my finishing it. Because it languished for a bit. But it's getting a few updates a month now.
