amberfocusSo I made myself a new icon tonight and I found out that the cinema trailer for season 4 of Doctor Who is supposed to be available from the BBC website tonight. A non-fuzzy copy will be interesting to see. Anyway, I loved the photo they had up on their opening page so I snagged it and made the icon to the left from it. Protective!Ten, I so adore thee. And I love Donna's hair in this. I was a bit upset to see the blue suit though. I had hoped after seeing the two photos of him in the brown suit that had been released last week, we might have seen the last of the blue one. Or at least we might see, oh, I dunno, a green one. I think he'd look much better in green than he does in that hated blue one.
Watched Torchwood episode Adrift. It made me cry. That's all I'm saying. Never had a TW episode do that to me before, but this one did.
Wrote 1200 words on Chapter 44 of Wolf Moon tonight, after having written almost 3000 earlier today for chapter 43. I'm ruminating on finishing the last two chapters of Repercussions this weekend and of course, finishing up the revamped edition of Take it Back. Then maybe, just maybe plot bunnies Gabriel and Raphaela can start working together to help me finish Of the Vortex Born. Plot Wolf Edison is still rabidly taken up with all things Wolf Moon/Hunger Moon and is unavailable to help.
Soccer practice today was cold. Really cold. With a five minute hail storm in the middle of it. Little bits of hail, nothing dangerous. But nothing short of sticking snow stops soccer around here, and the snow this morning wasn't sticking. The kids have their first games tomorrow. I am delighted that they are both in the afternoon. Rose moves to a full size field this year and Tobias moves to a half size field with actual goalies this year. I've got my thermal blanket packed in the car and the camp chairs, so all I need to do before we head to the soccer park is pack the cooler and make sure I have money for hot chocolate.
I kept trying to call my mom tonight to let her know when Rose's game is tomorrow because she wanted to come, but no one was answering the phone. Makes me worry a little bit because they are never out past 9:30 and with my eldest sister living there now, someone ought to have been home. Mom is 68 and Dad is almost 73 and has dementia, probably Alzheimer's, so I always worry when I can't get a hold of Mom. I'll try again in the morning. She does know when Tobais' game is and it's first so if nothing else, if she shows up, Rose's is less than an hour after his ends. Nice that. I know it's probably nothing. It's usually nothing.
