Life Update, DW Fic Updates

The family reunion went well and I was only bored for maybe one hour out of five, so that's pretty good, considering I still don't know half the people there.  I had a nice time talking with the wife of one of my husband's cousins.  We're both the sort that end up in a corner at these sorts of things and it's not the first time we've ended up in the same corner over the last couple of years.  I really enjoy her company and found out that she's pregnant for the first time.  Though not from her, from her father in law, who wasn't supposed to tell anyone yet.  So now I have to pretend I don't know until the official announcement is made.  Oh, well, probably won't see her again before Thanksgiving or Christmas anyway and then it'll be pretty obvious.

It was a lovely house overlooking the bay and it was only a 1/4 mile trek down to the waterfront.  If it had been warmer we could have gone swimming but as it was there were thunderstorms off and on all day.  They had the swimming trials on the big screen (no sound) tv.  That was nice.  Didn't see anything today though as we were too busy.  It was Rose's twelth birthday so we drove down to Lynnwood to Red Lobster because she wanted to eat there.  Then we dropped both kids off at camp and so we are kid free until next Saturday morning.

Then we stopped at FIL's to borrow his truck and went to Lowe's and picked up everything we need to replace the tub surround in the master bath, plus two wall hole repair kits from when Rose slammed Tobias' door open so hard the doorknob went through the wall a couple years ago, and another hole that was caused by a temper tantrum.  It's been covered with a poster for a while, but it's past time to fix it.  So it'll be quite the busy week for DH.  I'll help where I can but I am so not handy.

As for my fics, I've sent chapter two of A Sky Without Zeppelins off to Amy to beta so I'm sure she'll get it back to me sometime tomorrow and I'll get it posted.  I'm 1000 words into the next chapter of You're What? and 500 words into the next chapter of Hunger Moon.  I've even manged 200 words on Of the Vortex Born and 300 on Pushing the Boundaries.  My mind is very scattered though.  It's like I can't just sit down right now and write out a full chapter in one sitting, I keep jumping around between fics.

Well, I wrote in the car on the way down and on the way back. Not actually at the function. But there was a lot of car time and DH did all the driving. *smiles* And thank you. I'm glad you enjoy the stories.

Haha. I think you just gave me my cure for not writing. I can't pay attention to only one thing at a time, so I usually get really frustrated after I've worked on a story for a long time, then I just stop writing for a really long period of time. Maybe I should start working on a billion projects at once!

Would a half naked nine on one side, and a half naked ten on the other, in go-go cages, be a bit much? I can't tell if it's tacky or just the right amount of eye candy.

Well, drop the cages, and increase the half naked Nine to 3/4 naked (he can keep on the leather jacket only) and put Ten back in the really tight brown suit with no shirt but with the tie and the sexy specs and I'm happy.
