Going in for my sleep study tonight, which my lame butt insurance company finally approved after jumping through 3827 hoops. Almost as bad as the freaking school district at 3828 hoops.

Cross your fingers that I don't actually have sleep apnea and just have stupid insomnia.

Umm...I'm not as grumpy as this post sounds.

Well, I'm pissed off at the dairy industry which is trying to add artificial sweetners to dairy products, but not put it on the label. Especially to the flavored milks they provide to schools. One of their justifications? The public doesn't know flavored milk has sweetners in it anyway so it doesn't need to be on the label. And it has nothing to do with the decline in milk sales at all, does it? Nothing to do with trying to get people to have an addictive response to a food so they will buy more of it. *growls*

I will post a link tomorrow about how to let the gov know that this is a stupid idea if anyone wants it.

Now, off to not sleep in a bed that is not mine, but with my own pillow.

Joy.

Really, not as grumpy as it sounds.

Having suffered through two sleep studies, I wish you luck and feel your pain. (um, literally, if you didn't shave your legs before they stuck the sensors on them like I did the first time. OUCH.)

And how the eff can they get away with not listing an ingredient on the label. I thought that had to be included in the nutrition info, by law. o_0 And if you have to drink flavored milk, I'd much rather have sugar over artificial sweeteners any day. That stuff is so, SO bad for you.

I realise your irritation is with the process involved in finding out and I can totally sympathise with that. But, speaking as someone who has sleep apnoea and has been using a CPAP machine for more than 10 years, if you DO have it then the treatment can potentially change your life. I went from being so utterly tired that I was falling asleep driving to work and in meetings, to having far more energy and far more ability to concentrate.

*hugs* I hope things go well for you and you don't have aleep apnea.

Really? Blah. That's horrible. I don't get how people can get away with this. Just add more sugar to foods to make people fatter and more addicted to foods. Then the health system has to deal with all the health problems of over eatting and too much suger. People might not even know that what they are eatting is bad for them. It's insanty!

Is this some sick form of population control while making money at the time?
