With the Recent LJ Fail...

...I've imported the remainder of my journal to Dreamwidth. We shall see how things play out, but over there I am amberfocus, same as here. You can find me at: http://amberfocus.dreamwidth.org/ If LJ does change the friends page to that awful blue and white system, I will have too many problems with my eyesight to stay here. I'll likely cross-post, but I'll probably be there and not here most of the time.

I just added you over on Dreamwidth (where I'm plain ol' aislynn there ;) ). I've stuck it out with LJ through a LOT of things that I wasn't crazy about but the blue and white thing is going to pretty much be the end of me as well. My eyes just do not do well with a lot of light backgrounds, that's why I have my LJ set to black/dark backgrounds with lighter text. I'll go to migraine city in about 10 minutes with a lot of glaring white staring me in the face. :(

I'm going to make an effort to get my DW in shape after kinda abandoning it for the past year or so, oops. :S

i've added you over there, i'm captain91 there too. i can't see the blue and white thingy either, there's a reason i chose the layout i did!

i lucked in on that lj news post advertising this, one of the first posts was somebody linking to a poll, i explained my issues in more detail and said my concerns for many disabled people i know who use lj to follow fandom but are often unable to comment so physically don't have a voice on this that trouble them. turns out the lady works for dreamwidth, she helped me get set up with a better layout and size adjusters over there, as well as giving me access to a browser for dreamwidth! seems they actually care about accessibility!

Weird. I haven't seen any changes to my account. Maybe because I'm paid? Or a permanent member? Or...??? I dunno!

I should go over and dust off my DW account just in case, though.

They haven't made the changes yet. They are in beta. But they will be coming, regardless of the fact that nobody wants them. It was in the last LJ release newsletter thingy.

I've started pretty-fying my DW page. My lj account is up at the end of the month, and I doubt they'll get any more money out of me.

I'm the same love, once this changes goes ahead, and I'm pretty sure it will I can't see them backing down now, then I wont be able to use my friends page here either, as you know.

I've already added you of course, but I'll go look at your profile though, see if I'm missing any shared friends I don't know about
