So Excited!

amberfocusI am so happy right now. I just enrolled the kids in another week at Camp Kirby. www.campkirby.org It had looked like I could send them each to camp for another week but it wasn't going to be the same week, which sort of defeats the purpose of having them gone at the same time, but would have been okay, since DH would be home and off work to help at the time. Well, Rose is fine on her own, but Tobias without his sister home to play with is constantly underfoot and since we're trying to replace the back wall of the shower during that time period, not so easy. Anyway, the camp opened up another cabin for 6th and 7th grade girls that last week had been assigned to 8th and 9th grade girls, so they must not have had enough enrollment at that level and too many wanting to come at the lower level. So she'll be in a cabin on the beach instead of in the tree houses, but she's happy with "not having to climb that bloody hill six times a day!" as she put it, even if it means she won't have the same counselor this time around.
Which also means DH and will have six days to ourselves even if a lot of it is spent fixing the shower, we'll still have plenty of uniterupted time for...other stuff. *grins* Like holding actual conversations without having to stop every five minutes to explain something to a kid or tell a kid not to do something. And research for certain steamier aspects of my writing, of course...LOL
