I'm Having Muse Issues and Stuff

Well, my Nine fics are being, shall we say, difficult at the moment.  But I did make some progress on my Ten fics today.

I wrote 500 words or so on Lost in the Random Roar, my Ten loses Cassi fic, which is part of Time Eternal.  Just got through Rose yelling at him for losing their daughter.  She is not happy.  And I wrote a little bit more on Guilt, the first of the Ten time line split stories for Moments in Darkness.  And about 300 words on the next Vortex chappie.  I'm hoping tomorrow will be better for YW? or possibly HM if YW? continues to be stubborn.  HM is planned reciprocal smut and I can probably do that in my sleep.  I'm just not quite sure I'm in a Jackie place yet and that's what's wrong with YW? because that's where it needs to go now.  Maybe I should watch Aliens of London where she slaps him and yells at him.  That might get me in the Jackie flow of things.

My nephew's high school graduation party is tomorrow.  I'm hoping I can get away with a two hour appearance and then scoot.  My youngest is going to a birthday party instead so I can probably use picking him up as an excuse to duck out early, even though he's basically spending the entire day with the kid's family outside of the party.

DH got another substantial raise.  When I think of where we were just a year ago and how we were struggling and where we are now...  It was an across the board raise for everyone to help offset the rising cost of gas prices, since the employees have to pay their own airfare from wherever they live to Anchorage (work pays from Anchorage up to the North Slope).  But we'd already absorbed the more expensive airline tickets into our budget with the merit raise he got last time, so this is going to be really nice.  We'll be able to build up our savings account again, save for vacation, raise his 401K by a percent, add an extra $50 a month more towards paying down our mortgage early and still have a bit left over for fun stuff.  I like it when life gets easy.

That is wonderful! You've had some stressful times this year, so having a bit of breathing space will be extra-lovely!

Jackie is such a great character! When she is ready to work things out with your Muse you will write such a fun YW chapter!!! I suspect that the Doctor is right to be afraid! :)

If we didn't live with my mother-in-law (my hubby is her full time care giver) we would be in a world of hurt.

Congrats on the income increase! Glad to hear things are going nicely for you. I'm hoping for one of those myself in the next few months, if I find a job that isn't at the grocery store. Nothing wrong with the store; wouldn't trade the experience for the world, even. But... not exactly the perfect springboard for my future. >_>
