Ugh

Bad Firefox!  Go to your room!  You know, for all that Firefox is supposed to be sooooooooo much better than IE, I am totally not seeing it (other than ad block).  That puppy (er...cub) crashes on me just as many, if not more, times than IE ever did.  If I could throw invisible internet software against the wall right now, I would.  Is Chrome any better or would I just be trading for more of the same?  Between that and stupid LJ not stupid editing correctly in stupid rich text editor, I am about on the ceiling I've been driven so far up the wall.

On the bright side, day 3 of my diet is going well.  No headaches, no (non-computer related) grouchiness, no cravings and I'm down a total of 1.4 pounds.  Which is like a total of 27 since the surgery.  Only now I'm trying.  I have a lot more energy, too.

Not too much going on today so far.  I sorted and folded and hung up and otherwise put away six loads of laundry.  What? (Stop judging me.)  So I got a bit behind.  At least they were all clean.

Doing a bit of writing.  Deadline for finishing this fic is Sunday, and I'd really like to not see another deadline go screeching past me without fic.

Mr. Who just downloaded Chrome last night. He really likes it. However, he has a Mac, which may (probably will) make a difference. We have consolidated most productivity into Google products: email, calendaring, blogger (my real life blog), etc... and it is working well. Very few problems.

However, I'm still having MAJOR LJ headaches on both Chrome and Apple Safari (I have an iMac).

Yay you! Glad you are losing while trying, too. Losing after surgery is one thing; trying to lose is another thing entirely, and for some reason, so much harder.

I've been using Chrome for well over 6 months now, and I think I'm right in saying it's only frozen up on me twice in all that time. One good thing with Chrome if it does freeze up though, is that in most cases you can just close that tab and carry on everywhere else.

lj being a pain though, that's something we're all still suffering with I think. I know I am.

Just wondering what version of Firefox you are using. If its one of the older ones, they aren't really that stable. Firefox 4.0 has been really good to me. But I've been using Firefox since 2005 or so. Some of the add ons and plug-ins may be causing it to crash, if they aren't updated. Would be happy to help anyway I can.

I've not tried Chrome, so I can't give an opinion on it. But anything is better than Internet Exploder...I mean, Explorer.

Interesting. I use Firefox exclusively of anything else and it only crashes on me once every 6 months or so. I wonder why you are having so many problems with it. Perhaps you could try Chrome. I haven't needed to use it but I've heard good things about it.

I use Mozilla and it's solid as a rock. It's extremely rare that it crashes on my pc and when it does it's usually because I have like 30 windows open and am doing a bunch of downloads.

Ie didn't work well for me. Firefox worked for a while and then got sluggish. I've been using Chrome for a while and though I get crashes on it once in a while, I find that I don't have too much trouble, as long as I'm not trying to run too many tabs at once.

I have used chrome for over a year and love it. It also has adblock and other extensions you may like. It almost never freezes or crashes. I can't speak about editing much in lj because I mostly just read and respond to posts. Hope that helps a little.
