This is not my generations Teen Wolf and thank goodness for that!
Oh, this genre is so recycling itself, but this little show put out by MTV seems to fall more into The Vampire Diaries (the tv show, not the books) side of things and less of the Twilight side. But with just werewolves. And so far without angst, which makes it a refreshing change, really. The main character, freshly bitten in the first episode, and his best friend who iw slightly nerdy but a bit more attractive looking than any nerds I ever knew in high school, are both highly appealing. The new girl, Allison, is sweet and worried about wolf boy after they meet cute a few times. And her daddy? Well, they've just moved to town and guess what he appears to be chasing? Werewolves. He and two others are big time hunters. It also has Martin from 7nth Heaven as the wolf who bit main character dude...um...Scott, I mean. Anyway, Martin, I mean Derek, looks so much like the kid who plays Tyler on TVD I thought maybe he was moonlighting as another werewolf. Apparently all werewolves have great cheekbones. And this one appears to keep his boxer shorts or jeans on when he changes, but then he hasn't fully morphed just yet, so I guess it depends on what rating MTV is waiting for if he pulls a George.
Also there is Lacrosse, which I will never claim to understand. It pretty much looks like a cross between soccer with poles and nets and field hockey with high sticking and polo but without the horses. This is an East Coast thing, yes? Except the show takes place in California so...I dunno.
Anyway, the cast seems to have good potential and I certainly won't mind wasting my time on it.
