Brief Update
Apr. 25th, 2011 08:34 pmI haven't posted much lately, mostly because I am having a hard time getting used to my new glasses. I've had glasses for distance since I was fourteen, but in the last couple of years I've had trouble reading more and more, had to have my computer set on 125% magnification, and practically hold any book I was reading a few inches from my nose. Well, this time around (it's been since 2008 since I got glasses) my prescription had changed so dramatically that they gave me progressive lenses (or basically trifocals without the lines). I've got where to look for distance down and where to look for reading, but I am having a really hard time figuring out the right angle to look through for the computer. And the new prescription (even the part for distance) just makes my eyes very tired since it is so much stronger than before.
The eye doctor said it should take me about two weeks to adjust. It's been since Wednesday and I really hope it doesn't take much longer, because I really miss being able to read on the computer for long periods of time.
I keep wanting to write a reaction post to The Impossible Astronaut. I've watched it twice so far, once on my own and once with the family, but I think I need to watch it one more time before I can scrape my thoughts together. At least it is very watchable even with the few moments that make me cringe.
