I need the name of a small, but respectable English newspaper.

Also, a Cardiff newspaper.

Can anyone help?

I can't think of a specific Cardiff newspaper but a fairly common one is the South Wales Evening Post

OR you could have the Echo (local evening based newspaper- deals specifically with Cardiff and the surrounding area) or The Western Mail- respected Welsh newspaper.

As for a respectable English Paper/??? not sure there is one!! The Mail, The Independent or the Guardian- all large but not tabloids.

Not sure about papers for Cardiff, but I'd agree with the others, there's nothing I'd call respectable about any of the UK national newspapers these days.

Even the likes of The Mail (which used to be considered a well respected news paper) has resorted to publishing gossip lately They're the ones who've been doing most of the hounding of DT and GM ever since the baby was born after all.

The only one's that might fit the bill would be either the Independent (which is a broadsheet, i.e. huge and hard to handle) or it's baby-brother which is simply called i which is a smaller version and claims to focus one "quality news"
