Sorry to only be complaining these days, I sort of am annoyed at myself for being such a total whiner, but I do find it extremely unfair that the first time my husband is actually home on our anniversary (tomorrow) in like eight years or something, I have the flu so bad we can't do anything.

It is our 16th wedding anniversary and we were going to go to a steakhouse.  Not just any steakhouse either, but this one:  http://www.blackforeststeakhouse.com/  I was going to have the best rare filet mignon ever and also Bavarian potatoes which are basically potatoes fried in bacon fat with little bits of bacon and onion mixed in and oh, my gosh, it's totally not something you can eat all the time but when you do it's like heaven in your mouth.  Plus they do things with green beans that no one else in the universe has ever managed to do.  I don't even know if they do takeout or not, but I am seriously hoping they do.

Oh, and I lost my voice.  Thank goodness for unlimited text messaging.  Also, I agree with [livejournal.com profile] azriona.  It is much better to be sick in a two parent household than a one parent household.  Even if DH is getting tired of all my texts!  But I just look sad and pathetic and burn his hand with my forehead and it's 102 degree fever and stumble dizzily around and he gets over it.  Husbands are good that way.

Aww honey, if its any consolation think of the lovely night out you can have when you are better though I know it's not as nice as celebrating on your real anniversary. My husband travels for work sometimes too and has been away on some of our important days in our lives.

Hugs to you and hope your health improves soon. Happy Anniversary for tomorrow anyway. xx

You poor thing! I hope you feel better soon.

In the meantime, can I introduce you to my patented cure for coughs and sore throats? 1 tblspn honey, 1 lge shot whiskey/brandy or whatever, juice from half a lemon. Add all to a lge glass and top up with boiling water.

Quite apart from the fact that it works *amazingly* well at clearing the sinuses and lungs... after two or three of them you really just don't CARE so much that you're sick! *g*

Ok.. I know that sounds all facetious but it really does work wonders in clearing out the respiratory system. :-)

I completely understand. My husband spent our sixth anniversary in the hospital getting chemo instead of going to the state fair.

praying for you.
