wendymr. Okay, and a couple of other enablers. *laughs* These are...teenish, I'd say. Not that I'll make this a habit, but it was an interesting challenge. Sorry if the formatting is a bit wonky. LJ is being extremely stupid tonight.
For emraldeyedauter who wanted Nine/Rose/Jack and a jigsaw puzzle.
Pieces
Jack watches the Doctor watching Rose as he sits across from her at the table. Her concentration is focused as she searches through the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle spread before her, carefully fitting in piece after piece. He’s still trying to figure out how they fit together, the Doctor and Rose, and how he’s to make his place beside them. He wants to be a part of them so badly it almost hurts.
They both look up at the same moment. Rose smiles brightly and the Doctor pushes a chair toward him.
“Join us?”
“Don’t mind if I do.”
For imzadimylove who wanted Ten/Rose/Jack and bubbles.
Bubbles
Rose giggles as Jack’s mouth finds her stomach under water. He blows a raspberry against her skin and dozens of bubbles rise to the surface of the water. She squeals and begs the Doctor to come and rescue her. He dives from the dock and swims towards her with fast, smooth strokes, but when he arrives, it’s not to rescue her. He teases her back with his really great hair. Rose squirms and laughs until finally her men surface. The Doctor’s lips find her shoulder and Jack’s her throat and she finds that she no longer wants to get away.
For wendymr who wanted Nine/Rose/Jack and competition.
Competition
“Stop it!” Rose shouts. “Stop it.”
The Doctor and Jack turn to stare at her in surprise. She knows she sounds angry, but honestly, what is she going to do with the two of them? They’ve been arguing for an hour, trying to one-up the other and impress her with the most heroic feats and quite frankly she’s sick of it.
“This isn’t a bloody competition.” Her voice is quieter this time. “I love you both. I think it’s time that you learned to share.”
“You offering?” Jack asks.
She holds her hands out to both of them and nods.

Date: 2011-02-20 08:52 pm (UTC)I know they're not your ship, though you've always been very good about reading at least some OT3 fic, and that's why I was curious. You've done a lovely job here. You've got the fun and teasing of their relationship, so evident in Boomtown, you've got the faint hints of butting heads between Nine and Jack, and you've got Jack's occasional insecurity about his position.
I love them all, though I think Pieces is perhaps my favourite because of the layered meanings. Bubbles is just pure fun as well as being hot, and Competition is brilliant, with Rose taking the initiative to shut them up and showing the courage to take the first step towards a solution to their odd relationship.
