2. It was dull and unexciting and if there was ever a whisper of it almost—almost—being alive within the hidden depths of its dark, hard, glittering eyes, than that was surely an illusion. (No specific Doctor assigned yet).
3. The voice is familiar, her own, despite the fact that even one thousand elocution lessons in received pronunciation would never make Rose Tyler sound that way herself. (Rose running into herself when she uses the dimension cannon).
4. “First let’s work on the intermediate pokery part,” he said with an utterly straight face, “then we’ll move on to the advanced jiggery.” (alt!Nine/Rose--excerpt from Chaste Moon)
5. He had walked out of the barn talking to her a mile a minute as he usually did and it was only when he paused for an answer and she had said nothing that he’d looked over his shoulder and seen that she hadn’t followed him. (Ten)
6. Her bright red socks are her own protest against his less than stellar fashion choices. (Ten2/Rose)
7. “I’d quite got that, thanks,” the Doctor said sarcastically as he untangled himself from Rose Tyler and the heap the two of them had managed to fall into by dint of standing far too closely together when the TARDIS had lurched unexpectedly in mid-flight. (Nine/Rose and Jack)
8. A series of emotions flicker over his face as he adjusts his version of reality against the words she’s saying. (Ten/Rose--Aftermath)
9. He’d almost forgotten that there’d ever been anything wrong between them, but now that a solid door separated them and he had time to think, he knew that this day had been an act of desperation on his part, and not just a small attempt to make Rose happy. (Ten/Rose--Heat Wave)

#5--fabulous simply because my brain screamed "Ten!" in the first fourteen words. Yes, I counted, and I admit that's strange...
And #9, I really want to know the rest of the story....
