Stuff and Other Stuff

So the doctor is sending me to get an MRI on the 19th and is writing a note excusing me from jury duty, or at least postponing it. He says I shouldn't even attempt it when I have to be on hydrocodone so much of the time. I won't be thinking clearly enough to focus on the trial according to him. Anyway, since the knee is still hurting so much he thinks I did more than tweak it, I probably tore something else. Oh, yay. I DO NOT WANT more surgery, but if I have to have it I'll have to have it this year in case we lose our insurance, which we might if Chris has to switch jobs at the start of the year. I just don't want to be down for the count again for six weeks recovering. It's horrid to do that. It hurt so much last time and Chris has to work Nov 16 thru Dec 15 straight, which means it'll all fall on my mother if it has to be when he's gone. I just hope we can get it done soon if I have to do it.
Went to the gym tonight to swim. I didn't get in as many laps as usual as the lap lane was full for the first 45 minutes. Basically I threw the ball to the kids and bobbed around a bit and then did laps for 45 minutes. I did my half mile, which is only 26 laps instead of 30 or more like usual. That's okay though. I still feel like I got in a good workout. We also went to Costco and The Market today which means I walked far more than usual, even if it was slowly and leaning heavily on a grocery cart. We were so lucky. We found a place right up front by both stores for parking. Guess we timed it just right.
Has anybody written any shmoopy baby!fic recently? I'm having a craving. Nine or Ten or Ten2 with Rose, of course.

Date: 2010-10-12 04:02 pm (UTC)My mum had a lot of surgery these last two years (legs and back), so I know how difficult the recovery can be. Hope you won't have to go through that again.
