Life Update and Roswell Rewatch with Vid of Prettiest Kisses Ever (Michael/Maria)

Wow, LJ, you went and got busy on me today.  It was like a ghost town all week and then I get loopy on meds and then everyone wants to post.  Maybe I should get loopy on meds more often?  I am so tired.  I think that's partly the hydrocodone.  I slept at least seven hours last night and then took a nap from ten to one this morning/afternoon.  I suppose it is midnight, but it doesn't feel like I should be this tired.

I can go back in the pool tomorrow, according to the doctor.  Haven't been since Monday.  I have to relearn how to kick.  I've been kicking too much with my knees and not enough with my hips so...and no more frog style because the pivoting motion hurts like bloody hell.  No pushing off from the wall with my left foot.  And I'm to not kick with my left leg at all if I feel any kind of burning sensation when I do.  So that's a lot of arm swimming, but it's still a good cardio workout and I can do it, just not as many laps.  Which is okay.  I think duration is a little more important than speed at this point.

I still needed the cane today.  I can't handle steps without it.  I wish I could find my knee brace.  The doctor says it might make it easier to kick as I wouldn't be as tempted to do it from the knee.  Still no writing today although I did a bunch of betaing.

Doing a Roswell rewatch with my daughter, who has never seen it.  On disc three of season one.  Heat Wave, you are a complete and total UST and resolved tension depending on the couple episode and I love you for it, even if nothing else really happens.  I had forgotten how much of an idiot Max could be about Liz.  First kiss and then they break up before they start, because Max is afraid of his own shadow.  Michael and Maria kiss so pretty.  I don't think I've ever seen such pretty kisses.  See if you don't agree.  A montage of Michael and Maria kisses:

Alex (baby!Colin Hanks) is so adorable, and his dream about Isabel is so romantic I'm swooning.  Isabel (baby!Katherine Heigl) is such a knockout.  She sort of takes my breath away when they put her in such pretty dresses.  She's stunning in red.  Michael is in such denial about Maria.  First break up (of many) before they're really official and even then you know he's going to be in love with her forever.  And oh, yes, he was.  Note to season 3 Michael, you should have kept season one Michael's hair.

Rewatched the season premier of Dexter and cried AGAIN.  How do you break my heart so much?

Well I guess we had to do something with our time without your lovely fics to read. :-) Hope you found things to read that put a smile on your face. Hopefully your knee feels better soon.

Ugh, hydrocodone - I remember it all too well from my own adventures in knee pain (leg surgery...such fun). I was never really loopy, but I slept like a hibernating bear. (Was probably about that much fun to wake up, as well - haha.)

I so hope your knee feels better, and soon. Though, if your doctor* is letting you swim again, that sounds like a good sign?

*I admit I actually capitalized this out of habit, and had to go back to change it to lowercase - fandom has ruined me.

Michael and Maria were sooooooooo much more interesting than Max and Isabel (BOR-ing!). They were absolutely hilarious together, as well as utterly hot. And baby!Colin Hanks. I <3 him so much!

Sorry the knee is giving you so much trouble again. That sucks. But I admire your determination to get back into the pool. Maybe a kickboard or one of those floaty belts would help you swim without using your legs quite so much? I dunno, maybe a PT person would have some ideas that might help you out.

Oh Roswell. I was so totally obsessed with that show in the early years of high school. I even used to do house work to bribe my parents to buy me the books as they came out (cos I wouldn't clean otherwise).

I'm doing a rewatch myself (but it's been on hold for about a month now). I'm at the beginning of series 2 and I had forgotten how hard it is for me to stomach Max/Tess. And what with them killing off my favourite character in series 2, and the constant get togethers/break-ups of ALL my pairings, I spent most of series 2 wanting to cut someone. Somehow, writing this comment is making me want to go watch it again, lol.

It's so refreshing to see another Roswell fan in my f-llist. I don't think anyone else on it has ever seen an episode. :/

You're making me want to rewatch Roswell! I musn't... for no reason I can think of. Hm. As soon as my Nikita rewatch is done, which has been on hold for more than a month. *sigh* I suck at rewatching.

Also, agreed. M/M were very pretty together. Not just when kissing, but that certainly was a thing of beauty too. Except, I just remembered I sort of disliked Maria for the way she treated Michael a lot. :/
