Technology is evil when it turns on you. *appropriate icon is appropriate*

Well, I've given up on IE and downloaded Firefox and presto chango I can access my yahoo email account again.  Hopefully with Firefox it will mean every time I sign into YM chat it won't sign me out of my email, which has been going on for a couple months now and bugs the unholy heck out of me and is one of the many reasons I am seldom on chat.

I had Firefox several years ago and it did something to my computer.  Some kind of virus in the add-ons or something (I don't remember the details) that crashed my laptop and I've been wary of it ever since, even though I know they fixed the issue years ago.  So I decided to get over myself on the issue since IE is not letting me into yahoo mail.

Hopefully it'll be smooth sailing from now on.  At least it let me import my favorites and browsing history and all that stuff so I don't have to start from scratch.  I think I would cry a little if I had to look up all my favorite recipes again.  Since there are like 35 of them.

Mils, I'll be sending you back your beta'd chapter in a minute.  It's been done since last night but I couldn't get into the email client to send it.

Have you tried google chrome? It's my absolute favourite web browser. :D But I tend to believe anything is superior to IE.

No, I haven't but I'll keep it in mind if I have issues with Firefox, thanks.

Being able to be on to chat is always a nice thing. I hope it all works out for you. *fingers crossed*

My fic stalkers will be pleased. Now, that I have gone through the edits, I suppose I no longer have an excuse not to post it. E-mail clients can be bastards anyway. Just what they need is another excuse to act up.

I had issues like that back in June and nearly lost my computer entirely. I eventually got it back but since I had kept a continual live Norton Account when this happened, you can bet your sweet bippy, I got a refund like lightning. I now have AVG for free on my computer and it's fantastic. I've got both EI8 as well as Firefox and have had no problems since.

Hang in there, Ladybug!

I love Firefox. After I all but lost my religion over IE, I switched, oh, four years ago-ish... and never looked back. Infinitely more stable.

AND, as a party bonus, you can decorate it with pretty things. Like Doctor Who pretty things... :D

I LOVE Firefox. If you don't have it yet, you need to download the AdBlock Plus add-on (Google will find it) and subscribe to the first set of blocking tools - it's very easy to do. Hey presto, no more embedded ads and pop-ups!

Welcome to the dark side! Heh, heh. *g*

I'm a big fan of Firefox, particularly because of the nifty addons that enhance it. If you're interested, the list of addons (and other utilities) that I use are here (http://draconin.livejournal.com/78478.html).
