Exercise Update and Fic Update

Today has been a long day and we are still having internet issues, but for right now I can at least access the damn thing. We went swimming today and it was kind of weird because they didn't have the rope up to divide off the lap lane. They put it up for lap swim, but not for family swim. I've never seen it gone before and I didn't particularly like it, but oh, well. Hopefully it was only a temporary thing and it'll be back in the pool for good now. Anyway, I got my 30 laps in in 45 minutes. A little slow, but I'm still recovering from the infection. I would have swam more laps but family swim was over. I don't really like having to go so late, but T doesn't get out of school untl 3:30 and then by the time he gets home it's 3:40 and by the time we are all loaded into the car and ready to go it's almost 4. By the time we get to the club and get into the pool there's only 45 minutes left of family swim.
Whover it was who recommended to me using dish soap on my goggles and then rinsing them well and keeping my fingers off the lenses, you are a star. Okay, I used regular liquid hand soap from the dispenser in the locker room, but it worked. I didn't have to stop and defog my goggles once! Now that I'm starting to feel better again that should help me with my speed. Oh, and one great bit of news--I was getting really annoyed about the skirt on my bathing suit because it gets in my way during the side stroke, so I tried on one of my older suits that is a size smaller than the one I was wearing and has a much shorter skirt and it fit! I wore a fitted tank top over the top though because it's far more low cut than I should probably be flashing these days as a mostly out of shape old lady of 40. *snerks*
I wrote for a few hours today and got 2000 words done on the next chapter of Leap of Faith and about 500 on the next chapter of Three Hour Tour, so quite a bit on the creative front.
