Officially Enrolled! and an Update

Yay, me.  Both my children are now officially enrolled in public school.  And the best part is that Rose got both her Japanese and Drama classes, which were her primary reasons for wanting to go back to school.  I was afraid with all the run around that she'd get locked out of the classes she wanted to take.  Orientation is on Wednesday for her and on Friday for Tobias.  I'm just really happy she got Japanese.  She wants to live in Japan some day, possibly teach English there like honorh or do something in the computer graphics industry for Ninetendo (which you know, she could do here in WA, but that's not the point).  She's wanted to live there for a long time, so this is like step one on that path.

The smut-a-thon got it's first two entires today, so I'm happy it's officially off and rolling, as well.

Took the weekend off swimming because I've been sick to my stomach.  Hopefully going back to the pool tonight won't be a mistake, but my body feels very tight and swimming makes everything loosen up again.

After that I've got a fic to beta and then some writing of my own to do.  I'm hoping to finish up a couple of smut fics.  I did a massive catch up on comments yesterday and today.  So if you got an answer to something you left in early August, yeah, that's why.  I've been kind of crap at answering them lately.  I will try to do better.  Now that the stress of getting the kids into school is lifted I'll be more active on LJ again.

Oh, cool! I'm so glad Rose got the classes she wanted. I wish they'd offered Japanese when I was in school! :D

It's the only high school in the district that offers it, too! And the teacher was a classmate of mine, so that makes it even better. He was a kind boy, so I'm sure he's grown up to be a kind man. Just the sort of teacher I want for my daughter.

As for more smut, you'll get no arguments here. I'm looking forward to some relief from all the angst that seems to be around at the moment.

Oh, yes, indeed I am. Yeah, there's been a lot of angst lately. Heck, the last two fics I wrote were angsty and I'm so not in that headspace anymore so fluffy smut will hopefully be forthcoming soonish.

We're doing the night before the first day of school right now. My son is too nervous to sleep, and my daughter is sitting up at the kitchen table finishing the last of her summer reading projects that she only remembered to do at 9:10pm when I said "Hey, where's your third project?"

Sorry you haven't been feeling well. I'm crossing my fingers for a better year than last.

Oh, I remember that too nervous to sleep feeling well. I used to even get it as a parent. I hope I don't this year. Last thing I need is a sleepless night right now.

Thanks. Just a stomach bug and a headache that is starting to get a little too insistent. Fortunately the Ibuprofen seems to be helping a bit with the latter.

Oh, I am thrilled/relieved for you that you got everything straightened out with the school (been through "red-tape" myself - grr)...and drama and Japanese sound amazing. :)

Woohoo! So great to hear that both Rose and Tobias are now enrolled. And I think it's great that Rose wants to live in a foreign country for a while; it's such a great experience.

Yes, it is such a major relief. I think my daughter is far more brave than I am. The only foreign country I might want to live in is Canada. Though I'd love to summer in Italy or Spain.

Japanese is loads of fun. There are quite a few words that make me giggle, even though they shouldn't. It was relatively easy for me to learn, but then again I was a kid when I started. (and no, I never lived in Japan either. My gran did and my mum was born there.)

I tossed the second half at you this morning. When ever you get a chance to read it is fine. I just want a second opinion as to if I have his voice right.

And.... icon love! Fi is brilliant. I don't think BN would be as good without her.
