I am sorry Feria hair product, but medium brown hair dye, when I already had medium brown/auburn hair with a touch of grey, should NOT LEAVE ME GOLDEN BLONDE!  If I had wanted HONEY COLORED HAIR, I would not have chosen BROWN!  I matched my former hair color to the before photo and everything.  It does not look like the after photo.  It should have been MEDIUM FREAKING BROWN.  I AM NOT HAPPY.  Well, actually I am pretty happy, but NOT about THIS.  /capslock rant

But now that you're a blond, the chances of the Doctor kissing you have increased exponentially.

Oh dear. Well they say blondes have more fun. Very annoying though I am sure.

Sorry to hear that.

Before you do anything about it I'd say ask your hairdresser. I know someone who tried to dye her died blonde hair darker and while honey might not be the hair colour of your dreams I guess a shade of pale orange would be worse... Yeah, sorry, not so optimistic thought, if you want optimistic at this time of the day go with [livejournal.com profile] catyuy. In that case I could handle blonde as well ;-)

Oh, dear. But I do agree with [livejournal.com profile] catyuy and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. If someone wakes up with a craving for a blonde, you're in the running!

If it makes you feel any better the last time I had my hair colored clumps of it fell out. I won't try that again soon.

Reminds me of the time I tried a different brand and turned out whorehouse red ! Had to scrub it with Lava soap and live with straw for months. Been feeling sorry for myself as I've spent all summer recovering from second knee surgery in 6 months (you know how THAT is). I did spend most of it reading whofic ;) so not a total waste. Last week I went into the city and got my hair done at a salon- beautiful red with highlights. Sometimes different can be healing and exciting.

I hate it when that happens. I agree though that if you're not going to live with it, talk to your hair dresser. But it might be fun to be blonde for awhile.

Yikes! This is why I've never colored my hair - I just KNOW something like this would happen. I'd probably end up day-glow orange or green or something!

Totally agree with everyone else here, though.... if someone wakes up tomorrow with a craving for a blond, you're in!

Ooh, I used to experiment with hair color when I was a bit younger, and then my sister died her hair one time and it turned green - she had to go to a salon and have it stripped, and then re-colored and it cost her tons of money.

Now, I just pretend I don't see the gray ones.

I am a hair dresser. Your hair is totally fixable. Be careful though, because Feria color is metallic based and does not play well with other color brands. I would recommend going to a open to the public beauty supply place(ie: Sally's) and getting a neutral tone of medium brown to cover the blonde. Stay away from ash colors as they are blue based (yellow+ blue =green) Hope this is helpful.

Thank you. I did what you recommended and was able to fix the hair. I honestly think the bottle was mislabelled somehow. I've never had trouble dying my hair in the past. I definitely won't use Feria again. I've been a bit crap about answering my comments this month, but wanted to hunt this one down and say thank you.
