I'm having a hard time writing these last ten days.  I'm averaging about two paragraphs a day right now.  I think I've written about 1000 words on Leap of Faith during that time.  Normally I average about 1500 words a day on the days that I write, which is usually every day.  Right now though I just don't seem to have that momentum.  I've spent more time than I care to admit staring at empty white space on the computer screen.  It's weird because I know exactly where the story is going, I know exactly what is supposed to happen in this chapter and yet...the words don't come easy.  I hate it when this happens.  It happens enough that I know it will pass and I'll go another three months or so being able to write again before I hit another one of these patches, but while I'm in one it's not all that comforting.

It would help if I could sleep properly.  I'm not getting enough for my brain to want to function in story-telling mode, or much else.  I think it's time I made an appointment at the sleep disorders clinic here in town.  This type of insomnia is just not normal.

*sends many hugs* Insomnia is really a miserable thing. :( I certainly hope you can get some help with it ASAP. It'll definitely mess up most every other part of your life when you're not getting the right sleep. :(

*more hugs* Take care of yourself, hon! ♥♥♥

Making an appt at your sleep disorders clinic is a good idea.

Both the hubby and I had similar problems and had sleep studies done. We found out that we both had sleep apnea, which is very, very treatable. We both sleep with a CPAP machine now. It has worked wonders!

If it's any consolation, your average is better than mine at the moment. Then, your average is better than mine even a year ago, so perhaps not so much consolation as one might think.

Sweetheart, you have my sympathy. *hands you a bus ticket away from Writers' Block*

I feel like those of us who write a certain number of words should be exempt from this crap, you know? Someone once told me writing was easy. I think I might have told them to go to hell. I should have replied with the loverly quote. "All you do is sit over a blank piece of paper and sweat blood."

*Hugs* I hate insomnia and writer's block. How awful to have them both at the same time. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Aww that must be so horrible for someone like you who normally writes so much! Insomnia is so awful, it's like you can handle almost anything when you've had a good sleep, but take that away and even the most simple, everyday things seem that much harder.

I hope you get some answers at the sleep clinic *hugs* x

Are you unable to go to sleep, or do you wake up a lot through the night? Get thee to that sleep clinic! Sleep apnea is very common, and treatment has changed people's lives for the better! Also hormone issues can cause sleep problems. Might want to talk to your friendly MD about it. Hope you are feeling perkier soon! (entirely selfish of me. Jonesing for more Leap, and Moon series, etc, etc....)

I have definitely noticed a pattern of my writing being connected to my ability to sleep..and sometimes I just can't so you have my sympathy. The sleep clinic sounds like a good idea, I've often thought about going. I hope you feel better soon (slightly selfish of me I must admit, I miss it when you don't write)

I'm SO happy that you're going to a sleep disorders clinic. I know that going to one did a world of good for a co-worker. She said that getting enough sleep means that she can think clearly for the first time in ages.

*Supportive Hugs*

I know absolutley nothing about sleep disorders, so I'll just sincerely wish you the best of luck at the sleep clinic.

OH! And send you dreamy Doctor-muses in various states of undress to float over your bed for you to count, like sheep.

*Cues lullabye music*

I do hope you manage to get your insomnia taken care of. It's just horrible when you can't get proper rest. My best wishes that the sleep study identifies the problem so you can be back to your normal self. Take care of yourself and heres hoping you can get a good night's sleep soon.

I do enjoy reading your stories. I absolutely adore leap of faith. That being said, you can't rush genius. When your muse comes back, she comes back. And when she does I hope she brings you some inspiration for 9 ^.^
