Ridiculously Sick

I have been ridiculously sick for the past week, but the past three days have been nasty.  Every time I think I'm about to shake it off,  boom, back it comes.  The only thing I'm happy about at the moment is that soccer season is over and DH is home and I don't technically have to go anywhere until I feel like a normal human being again.  I've managed to write all of one chapter and get myself hooked on a TV show called Gossip Girl that I watched all 18 episodes of in the last three days.  Oh, it's an evil little show and I love it.  Nothing like rich, catty, back-stabbing, elitist teenagers being brought down to size over and over again as they shuffle for status.  It's like Cruel Intentions meets One Tree Hill with the angst of Buffy (but none of the plots) thrown in for good measure.  Definitely a guilty pleasure sort of thing.  Made being sick a lot easier to bear.

Even though I haven't written much or read hardly anything, I did manage to figure out how You're What? is going to end so I'm feeling a bit happy about that.  Seems I don't like flying without a net quite so much as I used to.  Doing outlines for the Better with You series kind of ruined me for winging it.  And I beta'd quite a bit because apparently I can still proofread while sick.  (Azriona, I sitll have yours to do, but the smut was lovely on first read-through!)

Ugh! Is this the same thing as before? Possibly you went too fast too soon before? Lemon-grass and chili chicken soup is great for both sinuses and sore throats, in my experience.

Nope, that was totally different. This is stomach and intestinal and misery, but I can breathe and I'm not hacking my lungs out or having a jackhammer going off in my head. It's going around the school and I'm just glad the kids seem to still be well.

Ugh. Well, that sucks, and I don't need to tell you that. I suppose one of the advantages of those kinds of bugs is that it runs through you in a fairly defined amount of time. It's amazing the kids have avoided it.
