I've Lost My Focus

Pretty ironic, given I have focus in my name.  It's one of those scatterbrained days and by all rights it shouldn't be because I have nothing to distract me.  DH asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day and I said to have the day to myself.  So he took the kids to visit his mom.  I guess three weeks of having him gone and it just being me and the kids with no break had really built up my stress levels,  and for a lot of the day I've just been vegging out reading and doing a little editing.  Well, and watching mindless TV, something I don't do usually ever.  I go days without even turning the TV on.  I also got caught up on my sleep for the first time in ages.

I'm resisting finishing up the next chapter of Devastate because it hurts writing it.  I've fiddled a bit with ch. 12 of Hunger Moon.  I've thought about doing a picspam to shake me out of the blahs, but then I don't want to go to that much work at the moment.  I think I need to go hunt up some good DW crack!fic to shake my doldrums away, Doctor/Rose or Doctor and Donna.  Anybody got any suggestions?

Don't worry about being bored, give in to the chaos of the moment. Sometimes I call those kinds of moments ones that my brain is trying to reorganize like a computer resetting itself. If you want to go in the other direction, call it the planets are retrograding and you're just going along for the ride. Hope you found some good crack/fic!

Aaaw! I'm glad! I'm lurking over at LJ myself and am reading Rabid1st story "Disheveled." It's pretty good. I shoudl be writing, but I did get a paragraph or two done earlier today. Tomorrow I'll just flesh it out when I'm at work and keep building on it. It's the only way I can write nowadays....

If it hurts your writing it then I know it's going to hurt me badly reading it but that won't stop me. I'm just going to have to go find some happy fic to read as soon as I'm done yours. Can't wait for the next chapter of Hunger Moon.
