Wings

 

 

Rose is still as tiny creatures flutter about her. She can feel the brush of a thousand wings against her body, making her skin hum with the sensation. When she opens her eyes the riotous assault of colors from the swarm of butterflies no bigger than her pinky nail is like visual music sweeping through her being. Every sense is heightened, including that of arousal. She looks over at the Doctor and knows he feels it, too. He brushes the creatures away just long enough to cover her body with his own. And with every nerve firing, they make love.

Have you ever been in a swarm of butterflies? I once went to Mexico for the monarch butterfly migration and it's just like this. ... Well, except I didn't have Nine with me, more's the pitty.

Well, I've been in an indoor Butterfly preserve and surrounded by them. It wasn't exactly a swarm but they do fly so close and I had one or two landing on me. Neatest sensation.
