amberfocus | So frustrated I could scream

I just lost 1000 words of Zeppelins. I am so mad right now I just want to hit the wall. I highlighted it to see how many words I'd written, (2007) and then I wandered off to do something on the web and came back and the part that was highlighted was gone. I figured I'd accidently hit cut, so I hit paste and it wasn't there. I tried an autorecovery. I tried searching the temp files. I tried *ASD. I tried ~*.* It's just gone. I was able to get back the first 1000 words or so with the autosave feature but not the whole thing. Damn it. It was going so well.

Think I'm going to take a nap and try to approach this with a fresh mind in an hour or two. Just so, so annoyed with myself that I left it like that without saving. *sighs* I'm usually much better about things than that. At least I remember what I was writing. I just didn't sleep long enough last night, it being the first night of Chris' shift and him gone again for three weeks. Last of the three weekers at least. Then we're back on two and two for the fall/winter/early spring.
