Human Target

We went swimming tonight and I did 30 laps plus I did 40 minutes with water weights while I was waiting for the lap lane to be vacated. It was the lowest weight ones they have. It's going to take some strength building for me to get to the ones with the greatest resistance, but that's okay. I took baby steps to get where I am in swimming laps, I can definitely do that with the water weights, too. I've started kicking again with my right leg only. Feels a little weird, but it didn't hurt or anything and I'm sure I can get used to it again.
Oh, I took my measurements again the other night and I've lost 8 inches since 9/17, 3.5 of which came off my waist! No wonder all my pants are so loose. I've lost a good bit off my arms, too, and of course my bust. My hips not so much, probably from the lack of kicking, but I am just totally happy about what I've done despite my injury. It just goes to show what you can do when you put the work in.
I'll see the doctor again tomorrow and get another ultrasound treatment on my knee. Then I'm not sure if I'll have anymore before the MRI on the 19th or not. I don't know what I want to happen on the MRI. If it's a new injury then I might have to go through this all over again and I really don't want surgery. If it's just something I tweaked badly then I'm probably looking at physical therapy because it's still pretty bad despite lots of elevation and ice. I know I am capable of putting the work in. Swimming has proven that to me, but the idea of adding anything in that might hurt or make things hurt more sccares me. I guess all I can do is wait and see.
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has sent me so much support lately. I know I suck at answering comments right now, but don't think that I don't appreciate every single one because I do. You guys have all been so amazing. So thank you.
