Fiction by Mental_Meander:  http://www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=38271 is a rather horrifying (in a good way) look at what might happen to Ten2 when Eleven disappeared at the end of The Big Bang and he was washed right out of history.  Rose is the only one that ever remembers him being there in Pete's World and she goes from these gorgeous, bittersweet flashbacks of their life together, to these terrifying fearful moments of trying to find any trace of him left.  It's a fairly long one shot at over 11,000 words, so be prepared to settle in for a bit.

It does have A LOT of phonetic dialog at times which is one of my pet peeves.  I don't mind the occasional hanging g or t to get the flavor of the accent, but all the time annoys me.  Since the majority of the fic is not spoken it's not too hard to overlook.  There is one bit of teasing over Rose's accent that I flat out did not like because it felt out of character for me according to how the Doctor had been written up to that point, but the rest of the fic more than makes up for it, believe me or I wouldn't be reccing it.  It's heartwrenching, beautiful, and well-written.  Heavy angst.

Swimming Update and Eureka

I didn't post this last night, since my ISP went down for 12 hours, but I did do laps yesterday.  I did 26 laps in 40 minutes, so one more lap than the time before and 5 minutes faster.  I used the crawl stroke and the back stroke more often, which are faster strokes for me than some of the others, which is why I think it went faster.

No laps today as they don't have family swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  My eyes are bugging me a lot.  I think it is the chlorine.  Even though I wear goggles I still get some chlorine in my eyes.  I'm using eye drops and they help a bit.

Though I did squee like crazy when Zane broke into the Department of Defense's computer and asked if they wanted anything else while he was in there, like the TARDIS blueprints!  I love it when my shows have Doctor Who references.  I need a Eurkea icon.
