Chapter Forty-One: Return to Earth
They didn’t go back to Earth right away. They probably should have but Rose didn’t want to deal with planning an Earth wedding after their bonding and the Doctor, as much as he liked having Jack around, desperately wanted time alone with his wife. He had a strange feeling deep within him that if he didn’t take the time now to be with her, he might never have the opportunity again. He didn’t like the way it made him feel, it was fatalistic and stupid, but more and more his mind kept returning to what the Rose from the alternate universe had said, the way she had lost her Doctor, first to regeneration and then to being sealed away in another reality.
