Fic Update

I just sent ch. 3 of The Prettiest Rose on Prometheus off to Amy for beta.  And the fic has morphed into four chapters, so although there is dancing in this chapter, there isn't any dancing.  I tried to fit it all into one chapter but it was starting to get far too long for my comfort in posting it as a single chapter.  I'm 892 words into ch. 4, though.

I'm so far behind on answering comments right now.  I'm sorry.  I will get to them.  At least the story ones.  I'm still sick and my brain is kind of scattered.

Nine/Rose Vid Rec

This is one of the most perfect Nine/Rose vids I've seen in a long, long while.  I found it on youtube.  Beneficia had recommended a different Poet's of the Fall song to me for possible use in Prometheus and I went there to see if they had it so I could hear it.  Along the way I stumbled across this song by them and this vid that went with it.  It was just so beautiful and so fully what Nine and Rose are all about to me.  Anyway the song is called All the Way/4U and it figures prominently in chapter three.

Nine/Rose Vid Rec

A/N:  Yeah, I know I said three chapters, but it morphed into four.  For those few of you who didn't really want smut on this one, you can just pretend it ends at the end of chapter three.  For the rest of you, I'm quite a ways into chapter four.  The song in this chapter is called All the Way/4 U by Poet's of the Fall, and is in a roundabout way the fault of Beneficia who suggested a different song by the same group.  When I found this one though, I just fell in love with it for the Doctor and Rose.  I posted a link to a Nine/Rose vid with it in my previous entry if you'd like to hear what the song sounds like.

She couldn’t stop the giggle that burst from her lips at the old-fashioned thought of going steady with the Doctor. He was so proper, so formal about it all.  It was, of course, exactly the sort of thing he’d do though, a way of making her his without, quite yet, making her his.

The Doctor’s brow furrowed and his eyes started to look wounded. Rose felt a sudden sense of panic that he might think she was laughing at him, not out of happiness. “Yes,” she said hastily through her laughter. “I’ll agree to that.”
