Chapter Eleven
James Lumin sinks into the glass of his office window, the coolness of it a welcome balm to his frazzled synapses. He hopes it won’t be much longer before Dr. Smith arrives. He stares off into the distance, watching the London skyline on fire, feeling the vibrations of the Earth that still echo through him a good thirty minutes after the crash. They are minute enough that it would take sensitive equipment to even measure the aftershocks of the violent landing. But he feels them. He always feels them. This is not the first time they have come. If he survives this, it will not be the last.
