Fic Rec

Yes, it's time yet again for another Post JE fic rec.  Another gorgeously written, but in a totally different way than the last one, fic.  It's beautiful really.  Angsty but not end of the world angsty, and hopeful at the end.  It totally drew me in and dragged me along.  I love that in a story.  It's a Rose coming to terms with life after JE fic and it's in the second person, but it feels surprisingly right, which is very hard to for an author to do really without coming off like a Choose Your Own Adventure novel.  This author manages the 2nd POV quite well.  It's called Elusive by englshangel and can be found here:

“I wish they’d come back,” Jamie said pacing the confines of the cell. Her breath billowed in the air above her. She felt Luke’s eyes watching her move back and forth across the room. She was feeling more and more like a caged animal. She hadn’t felt near this kind of restlessness when she and Luke had been trapped in the life pod.

Chapter Seventeen:  Waking Up in Fear

Jamie groaned as consciousness found her. Her eyes opened and she had to shut them and open them again before she could believe what she saw around her. She was in a cold, though much warmer than the last room she remembered being in, sterile white room. The light above her was extremely bright. If she’d have been human she would have been blinded by it.
