Chapter Twenty-four: Good-bye Torchwood
“Can I ask you one thing?” The Doctor’s voice was hesitant. It was morning and they’d spent the last hour just lying snuggled up together, passing gentle kisses back and forth, his hand tangled in her hair, hers stroking his skin. “If you know it?”
“About…last night?” She turned about in his arms to look at him with those beautiful molten copper eyes of hers. He stroked the strands of gold out of her face.

“His hand was dripping with viscous fluid! And it was purple! And steaming!” Donna protested.

“Rose, oh Rose, sweetheart,” Jackie Tyler said as she hugged her daughter close. “I heard the noise and I couldn’t believe it. I thought,” and she pushed Rose back away for a moment to look in her daughter’s eyes, “That I’d never see you again. And here you are.” She kissed Rose on the forehead then pulled her back in again.
