Fic Update

I'm not quite sure when I'll be posting ch. 9 of TWOCBW, probably in the next couple of hours.  I still have a few points to go over in it with Amy.  This chapter ended up being 4000 words all on it's own.  If I'd left it combined with ch. 8 it would have topped out at 6700 words, which is far too long for a chapter.  And also, I don't even think LJ will let you make a post that big, so splitting it was definitely the right choice.  I should split ch. 9 in half but there's no good place to do it (especially not in the middle of a 609 word event that starts at the end of the sneak peek, which is about where the split would fall) and I promised I wouldn't.  Although I don't think two full smut chapters would be a bad thing.  *grins*

She let out a breath she hadn’t even realized she’d been holding. He could have had tentacles for all she knew, or more than one penis, or been far too large or too small to be able to have sex with her at all. He could have been completely incompatible with her. Instead he was just six or seven inches long and a decent but not impossible girth around… “You’re normal,” she said.

 

“What were you expecting?”

 

“Don’t know. You’re alien. You could have had barbs or been purple or sparkly.”

 

“I knew I shouldn’t have let you shop in the alien romance section of that book store on Hornicus Seven,” he muttered. “Or was it Waterstone’s Jupiter in 2157? Gave you all sorts of silly ideas. I’m humanoid. The design is basically the same the universe over,” he told her. “That’s why you humans can successfully shag anything, pretty much. Honestly, Rose, purple or sparkly? There is no humanoid life form that isn’t made of silicon or diamond that is sparkly despite the popular fiction of your time. Did you really—?”

 

She took him into her mouth then, only partially to shut him up, and his words broke off with a strangled sound, his head thunking back hard into the pillow and his eyes going shut as the higher processing centers of his brain abruptly shut down.

Oh, you could SO do crack with that...

I think there is a word limit in post sizes... when I do my Harry Potter stories, I usually have to split mine into two parts, but then again, my chapters tend to be about 20 pages in word... I think 13 or so pages is the maximum. FYI. If, you know, it makes a difference, which it probably doesn't :)
